Call for Workshop Proposals

GeoVet 2023 will feature a series of Pre and Post Conference Workshops that aim to provide attendees with knowledge and hands-on experience in the latest and cutting-edge methods of Spatial Epidemiology and Spatial Statistics used in veterinary medicine.
We invite you to submit proposals for one or two day workshops which will be held on September 17-18 or 22-23, 2023.

The workshop proposal must not exceed 5 (five) pages in length and should contain the following information:

General information

  • Title of the workshop

  • Names, affiliations, contact information and short biographies of the workshop organizers

  • Outline the workshop’s purpose, goals, and expected results

  • Specify the background and skills that attendees should have to attend the workshop

  • Prior history of this workshop, if any, including venues, dates, and approximate attendance number

Workshop specification

  • Conference preference: pre or post conference

  • Proposed workshop duration (days)

  • Number of attendees (minimum and maximum)

  • Suggested fee for the participants

  • Provide a detailed outline of the workshop’s content and a comprehensive schedule

Proposal Submission

The workshop proposal should be submitted in PDF format, sending it by email no later than March 19, 2023, at the email address: geovet23@izs.it.
The subject of the email should be “GeoVet 2023 Workshop Proposal”. Acceptance will be notified by April 1, 2023.

April 1st, 2023 Decision on acceptance or rejection of workshop proposal, and notification of applicants. Announcement of GeoVet workshops on the GeoVet website
July 1st, July 18th 2023 Deadline for participant pre-registration for GeoVet workshops
July 9th, July 25th 2023 Last day for workshop organizers to confirm/cancel workshops. Registration will remain open for confirmed workshops until the maximum number of participants is reached
